Entertainment activities for New Year in HCM City

“Singing for a Wonderful Spring:” Two divas, Thanh Lam and My Linh, will appear in a new year welcome show at the Lan Anh Stage at 8pm, December 31.
The two divas will perform famous songs about spring like “Spring Flowers and Grass,” “Spring’s Whisper,” “Spring’s Breath” and “Spring Afternoon.” The show will also feature pop stars like Lam Truong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Le Quyen, Viet Quang, Cao Thai Son, Thu Thuy, Wanbi Tuan Anh, and Phi Truong.
Khanh Ha mini shows: Vietnamese-American singer Khanh Ha will return to Vietnam to sing for the New Year on January 1-3 at the Dong Dao nightclub. She will perform some Vietnamese and foreign love songs like “Alone,” “Dreaming Slope”, “Besame Mucho,” “My Way,” “Unchained Melody,” “I Wish Your Love” and also songs upon request. This is the third time Khanh Ha has performed in Vietnam.
Dramas: From December 30 to January 2, the HCM City Theatre will introduce a new drama called “Laugh and Cry – Road of Hope” to raise funds for poor people in the central region.
Meanwhile, a new stage performance entitled “SuperBowl” will open at A43 Truong Son, Tan Binh District, HCM City on December 31 evening by Charming Vietnam with a fashion show, music performance and drama extract.
Movies: The two latest Hollywood movies screen in Vietnam for the new year: Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 and Sherlock Holmes. The first is a cartoon about mischievous squirrels famous for 50 years. This movie is suitable for families during the holiday. Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes brings the audience back to the book of Conan Doyle with mysterious cases. Other movies available for the holidays are the Vietnamese film “Clash” and the famous 3D movie. “Avatar.”
