HCM City: Prices of over 70% of vaccines hiked
The prices for most types of vaccines, both imported and locally-manufactured, have soared in HCM City.
Some preventive health and vaccination centers in the city have listed new prices. Some kinds of vaccines have their prices up by 10%.
At the HCM City Pasteur Institute, note-boards announced “Due to the increase of base prices, the prices for vaccines are changed.”
Accordingly, of 30 types of vaccines available in the market at present, up to 22 have their prices up by 5-10%.
When customers asked about the sudden increase of vaccine prices, health workers at all clinics said that they had to buy vaccines at higher prices so they have had to raise prices, too.
Though the price for measles-parotitis-rubella vaccine has risen, the HCM City Preventive Health Centre was out of this vaccine.
