Provincial boss sacked for connection to prostitution

To, 57, was the deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee and former director of Ha Giang Province’s Plan and Investment Department. The chairman had allegedly been involved with a prostitute who had taken nude photos of To with her mobile phone.
To also allegedly had connections with a prostitution ring that had been busted in the province.
At an irregular meeting of the council yesterday delegates discussed and voted to dismiss the chairman.
He was also dismissed from the provincial People’s Council.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had asked the provincial People’s Council to remove To from his position as chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and from the People’s Council.
To was also dismissed from the Party as a result of his immoral lifestyle.
