Thai Nguyen ends tournament at bottom
A disappointing tournament for Thai Nguyen came to an end when they lost 1-3 to Ho Chi Minh City in their last match of Round 10 at the National Women’s Football Championship yesterday.

Ngo Thi Hanh and Tran Thi Kim Hong helped Ho Chi Minh City take the lead in the 15th and 26th minute. All that Thai Nguyen could do was a goal by Nguyen Hai Hoa in the 42nd minute before Le Thi Vui killed the match with the score of 3-1 for Ho Chi Minh City 15 minutes later.
As the result, Ho Chi Minh City officially occupied the fourth position in the rankings while Thai Nguyen finished at the bottom.
The National Women’s Football Championship 2009 will conclude today with the two other matches including the most anticipated clash between defending champions Hanoi and Vietnam Coal and Minerals.
