Nguyen Khac Phuc writes festival scripts again

Writer Nguyen Khac Phuc, the author of the script for the 1000th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary, has agreed to make the script for the National Tourism Year announcement ceremony 2010 in Hanoi from October 3-6, 2009 at Hanoi’s Thong Nhat Park.
Phuc said he chose Thong Nhat Park because this site has close relations to Hanoi’s history since 1954. “The park has trees, abundant architecture and is spacious. Moreover, it will be very cheap there because we don’t have to build a stage,” he said.
The event will include the following activities: a special show about Thang Long – Hanoi, flower street festival, an international tourism festival, a food festival and a kite flying festival.
Thong Nhat Park will be designed with a 200sq.m stage, a replica of Thang Long citadel, and stalls around Bay Mau Lake where visitors can purchase specialties offered by tourism firms while watching art shows.
